What is the developer portal?

Developer portal is an application used to catalog Schneider APIs. It is place where API Consumers can discover APIs/Products, learn how to use them, and try them out.

How do I sign up for a developer account?

Interested Consumers need to reach out to Onboarding Team APISupport@schneider.com for registering to the Developer Portal.

How do I login?

API Consumer will receive the invitation email from Schneider with Login Credentials once registration process is completed.
In case an API consumer has Schneider Azure Active Directory credentials, the same can be used with Azure Active Directory option as shown below.

I forgot my password – how do I reset?

Password reset can be done through Developer Portal. Please navigate to login page in the Developer Portal. Use the Password Reset option and follow the steps to reset password.

Alternatively, API Consumers can reach out to Onboarding Team APISupport@schneider.com for resetting the password.

How much does it cost to use an API?

As of now there is no cost on using Schneider APIs. Schneider can change this policy as required.

How to get Client Id and Secret Key?

Schneider Internal API Consumers needs to raise Standard Change Request in Cherwell for ClientId and Secret Key.
Schneider External API Consumers will receive the ClientId and Secret Key as part of registration process. Please contact Onboarding Team APISupport@schneider.com to register.

Limitation on calls?

Currently, Schneider is not restricting the number of API calls. In case of any misuse, these settings might change, or access can be revoked by Schneider.

Need to test APIs in test environment?

Customer can leverage the test environment Developer Portal https://portal.api.prf.schneider.com/ before going to Production.

Not seeing your API? Want to request a new API?

It may happen that the intended API is not associated to subscribed Product. Please reach out to Onboarding Team APISupport@schneider.com with the request.
Either the API shall be added to same Product, or another new Product might be created.
